You'll be picked up from a place of your choice and taken to begin the hike accompanied by your English speaking guide on the highest peak of the island, Profitis Elias. From here, about 2000 feet above sea level you get to enjoy the view of Santorini and the nearby Cyclades. Wander the paths monks have been walking on for centuries and discover the ruins of a Venetian castle and the traditional island-typical architecture in Pyrgos, which once was the capital of the island. Follow the traces of the earthquake in the "ghost village" of the island and visit with us the Byzantine church in Mesa Gonia.

To finish the tour you will sit down in the oldest winery of the island and learn about the art of traditional vine cultivation and wine making. You can let the impressions of the day settle while enjoying a good glass of wine.
