Summer Neuschwanstein Castle Tour by Bus with Bike Ride

This is the tour that we have been offering since May of 2000 which has earned us well over 1000 5-star reviews on Trip Advisor under Bus Bavaria as well as the hundreds which have been posted (somewhat incorrectly) under our listing. We do not visit Linderhof Palace nor the village of Oberammergau on this tour. Instead, we use the extra time thus available to enjoy a relaxing bike ride through the valley below Neuschwanstein while ceaselessly savoring the amazing view of the two castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau with mountain peaks behind them. We do this bike ride rain or shine. It’s not often that rain diminishes our enjoyment of this part of our day but when it does it certainly helps to have an appropriate jacket so please bring one just in case, no matter what the weather is like in Munich when you leave your hotel in the morning! On warm summer days we also break for a swim at a wonderful alpine lake so if this sounds like fun to you come prepared! For those less interested in the bike ride for whatever reason, there is the option to do the tour of the interior of Hohenschwangau castle instead and this decision can even be made virtually last minute, after arrival! On this tour we also enjoy lunch together at a local brewery, walk uphill or take the bus up to Neuschwanstein and arrive back in Munich between 7:00 – 7:30 p.m.
