Private Tour: the Museum of Musical Instruments Guided Tour with Visit to a Local Liuteria

In Milan there are many shops of masters who dedicate themselves with passion to this ancient and noble art. We will visit the workshop of a violin-maker who will explain the steps of building a violin and its secrets.

The String Sound of Tradition will bring you in the Museum of Musical Instruments in Milan, hosted in the Castello Sforzesco: it offers a perfect understanding of the Italian tradition of excellence in the manufacturing of bowed string instruments. Then we will visit the workshop of a Milanese master violin-maker, to discover a history of this highly artistic craft.

Sound of tradition is part of Milano Grand Tour, a set of itineraries dedicated to the excellence of Arts and Crafts in Milan, organized in collaboration with Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d'Art.

The guided visit will starts at 2:30pm from the Museum of Castello Sforzesco (Piazza Castello, Milano). Admission ticket included. Transfert with private transport from the museum to the workshop included.
